HANOI - BAHIA DE HALONG / HANOI & THE HALONG BAY
A casi 2 horas de vuelo de Hong Kong aterrizamos en Ha Noi (capital de la Republica socialista de Viet-Nam) donde nos encontramos con una ciudad que nos sorprende por el toque afrancesado de los edificios, los 3,5 millones de motos que hay y la hospitalidad y amabilidad de la gente.
A 3 horas en coche desde alli llegamos a la Bahia de Ha-Long, otro de los puntos esperados del viaje.
La bahia mas grande del mundo es de una belleza sobrecogedora, con miles de islas e islotes diseminados. El tiempo esta nublado y esto le da un aspecto mas dramatico.
Despues de 2 dias de crucero en un junco disfrutando del paisaje, visitando cuevas y pueblos flotantes, haciendo kayak en lugares virgenes... volvemos a Hanoi para volar a nuestro proximo destino.
Gracias a Matthew por la velada en la cubierta del junco hablando de china, Asia en general y Espanya. Te deseamos mucha suerte en tu carrera de piloto.
After a short 2 hours flight from Hong Kong we landed in Ha-Noi (capital city of the Socialist Republic of Viet-Nam). We found a very interesting city with a Frenshish touch on the buildings, 3,5 millions motorbikes and a very hospitable people.
3 hours drive from the city we reached the Ha-Long bay, one of the most desired moments of our trip.
The largest bay in the World is shockingly beautiful, with thousends of scattered islands and islets.
After 2 days on a junk cruise enjoying the landscape, visiting caves and floating villages, doing kayak in virgin places...we came back to Hanoi to fly to our next destination.
Thanks Matthew for the nice evening talk on the deck, talking about Asia, China and Spain. We wish you a great succes in your pilot career.

HONG KONG
De repente tanto orden y limpieza es casi como un shock.
Hong Kong es una de las ciudades donde nos sentimos orgullosos de ser urbanitas.
Llegamos a la ciudad el dia de la ceremonia de apertura de los Juegos Olimpicos del Este de Asia, de la que Hong Kong es ciudad anfitriona. Los fuegos artificiales en el Victoria Harbour es de lo mas espectacular que hemos visto.
Despues de tanta emocion no nos quedaba mas que disfrutar de una buena cena en el restaurante Felix (en lo alto del hotel peninsula enfrente de la bahia) antes de salir hacia nuestro siguiente destino.

And suddenly so much order and cleanliness was a kind of shock.
Hong Kong is a city where we feel proud to be citylovers.
We got to the city the day of the opening ceremony of the East Asia Olympic Games, hosted in Hong kong. The fireworks at Victoria Harbour is one of the most spectacular ones we have never seen.
After such a fantastic evening we went to the Felix Restaurant (on the top of the hotel Penninsula, facing the city kyline) to have a dinner before departing to our next destination.

DELHI....IMPREVISTO......HONG KONG / DELHI....UNFORSEEN....HONG KONG
Por algun motivo.....a la llegada a Delhi desde Varanasi, decidimos salir en el primer vuelo a Hong Kong para pasar las 2 noche que teniamos previstas en Delhi.

For any reason....when we got Delhi from Varanasi, we decided to take the first flight to Hong Kong to spend the 2 nights taht we had originally planned in Delhi.

VARANASI (antigua Benares / former Banares)
La ciudad habitada mas antigua del mundo.
La ciudad sagrada para la mayoria de religiones de Asia.
El rio Ganges, donde todo empieza y todo acaba para ellos: se lavan, rezan, hacen ofrendas, lavan la ropa, se limpian los dientes, beben....queman a sus muertos.
Un paseo en barca al amanecer nos hizo vivir la espiritualidad y las costumbres de sus gentes.

The river Ganges, where everything start and finish for them: they clean themselves, pray, make offerings, wash the clothes, brush teeth, drink....cremate their deads.
A boat trip at sunrise made us live the spirituality and the customs of their people.

KHAJURAHO
Despues de un trayecto en tren desde Agra y 5 horas de coche llegamos al pequenyo pueblo de Khajuraho donde se encuentran un conjunto de 22 templos del siglo X patrimonio de la humanidad y conocidos por sus figuras eroticas.
Simplemente preciosos.
We departed from Agra and after a train journey and 5 hours driving we reached the small village of Khajuraho where you can find some 22 temples from the X century which are World Heritage site and well known for theis erotic sculptures.
Just amazing.
